Currently Reading: Superman: The Black Ring Vol. 1 and Static Shock (New 52) Vol. 1: Supercharged

This weekend I plan on reading a lot of my comics. Does it annoy you when book snobs try to say comics aren't real books? I really don't care what they think, for me if I like it I'm going to read it.

Book: Superman: The Black Ring Volume 1 by Paul Cornell and Pete Woods (issues #890 - 895)

Description:

When Lex Luthor finally regained control of LexCorp, he thought he had everything he wanted. But in BLACKEST NIGHT, he briefly became an Orange Lantern and got a taste of true power. Now he'll do anything - anything - to get that power back. Buckle in for a greatest hits tour of the DCU's most wanted as Lex Luthor begins an epic quest for power, all brought to you by new ongoing writer Paul Cornell and artist Pete Woods, with covers by David Finch.

Book: Static Shock Volume 1: Supercharged (New 52) by Scott MCDaniel and John Rozum. Illustrations by Andy Owens. (Issues #1 - 8)

Description:

The brilliant, yet slightly awkward high school student Virgil Hawkins transforms into the cocky electromagnetic hero Static! A mysterious tragedy forces the Hawkins family to relocate from Dakota to New York City and Virgil must start all over again in a new high school, as well as a new internship at S.T.A.R. Labs. But is he ready to take on the new villains who lurk in New York City's underworld?
