Book 2 Review for my Library Read-a-thon: Dying in Style

Book: Dying in Style (Josie Marcus, Mystery Shopper book #1) by Elaine Viets

Rating: 4 stars

Review:

This was an entertaining, fun light-hearted mystery. This fast paced book kept my attention all the way until the end. Main character Josie Marcus a mystery shopper found herself being accused of murdering both the luxury handbag designer Danessa Celedine and Danessa's boyfriend Serge. All because she gave an honest yet bad review to the designer's three upscale boutiques. The reviews not only cost the designer a business deal but may even cost Josie her job as well as a possible lawsuit from the designer, that is if Danessa wasn't found dead. And with the police seeming to focus primarily on her, Josie knew she had to try to figure out who killed the designer before it was too late.

I thought this was a funny book. There were a lot of interesting zany characters in this book. I like that the relationship between Josie and her mom, Jane and her daughter, Amelia felt real whether from their arguments to their Great Big Hug moments or GBH.
