Review:

In this one-shot issue, there are two stories that are written by William Messner-Loebs the first is an original story title "Wonder Girls" and the second is a reprint of Wonder Woman issue #66 "A Sudden Deadly Leap" (1992).

The first story "Wonder Girls" has Diana taking over the camp duties as Blossom Girls leader from her friend Etta Candy. This is truly one of the funniest stories I had read in a long time, Diana was really training these girls as if they were on Themyscira. I was laughing so hard at the scenes where Diana had the girls lugging bags of sand as a warm up and the scene where she had them swimming to the bottom of the lake to retrieve trunks that was filled with all their belongings.

I had read this a while back but wanted to reread it again to write up my review. As funny as this story is I like that Diana was teaching these girls who normally don't really do anything besides going shopping and reading magazines, how to empower themselves so they can aspire to succeed in life. She helped build up their confidence in themselves.

The second story "A Sudden Deadly Leap" found Diana going out into space to help Natasha Teranova, a stranded Russian astronaut after being asked by this mysterious man named Thomas Asquith Randolph (who in this first appearance is really the White Magician). She is told the space ship is in need of repair and that she is the only one who could help the astronaut especially with rest of the hero unable to be reached.

After Diana arrived to the stranded ship and made repairs, all that was left was to prepare to return back to Earth. However, an explosion rockets the ship some vast distance from Earth leaving the two women lost in space. The issue ends (to continue in the next issue) with them trying to make repairs and hopefully try to find there way back to Earth.

I really enjoyed reading this again. Both stories were interesting and well written and it made me miss Wonder Woman stories like this.
