Free Comic Book Day 2014

Free Comic Book Day this year was really good. This was the first time I went to one at the new comic book store that I started going to. I arrived a little before noon and the place was already starting to get really busy. I think it's great to see all the people there because hopefully FCBD might encourage someone who has never thought to read a comic to read one.

I even  took a picture of this guy wearing The Rocketeer costume. He was there to greet the customers and take pictures with them. There was even two writer/artist at the back of the store but there were too many people over there for me to see who they were.

I walked around for a bit then I picked up some of the free comic books before going over to look at some of the older comics. I was able to find an old (non-New 52) issue of Birds of Prey that I had been trying to find for a while.

After, purchasing my comic (I always try to buy something on FCBD) and speaking with the owner for a little bit, I left the store with a nice little bag of comics.

Afterwards I met up with friends for lunch and even though they don't like comic books I think they might be interested in going to FCBD next year. But we'll see.

For now, I enjoyed it.
