Review:
Populatti follows 16 years old Livi Stanley who prior to moving to Golden Hill, Connecticut wasn't anywhere near close to being popular at her old middle school but once her family moved she became one of the popular kids. She's also a member of a exclusive website that only accepts the coolest kids. But just because you get accepted doesn't mean you can't get kicked out and one way to avoid that is to keep your approval rating on the site high.
Livi Stanley is a good girl who studies and volunteers but loves being a part of the "glamorous" group who loves to party.
This book is more for a reader who would like to read the Gossip Girl books but found them to be too risqué and wanted a good girl's take on them. Unlike Gossip Girl where some anonymous person is telling secrets and gossip about everyone only a few select group of people get to join Populatti and they use the site informing each other of upcoming private parties and spreading gossip about each other.
I thought this was going to be a cute and fun lighthearted book but instead it was really shallow and boring and I didn't want to finish reading it.
I really couldn't get into this story and every page I read felt like a cleaned up version of Gossip Girl but without any of the character development and drama.
Although the characters are in high school this reads as if they are in middle school. The writing and the story even seems as if it's geared towards middle grade readers.
This was not a good read for me.
