With women being the new target market, DC Comics (and Marvel, more on them in another post) are trying to reach out to female readers with some of the new books. They have also hired more female writers and artists to make the company's talent seem less gentlemen's club and more diverse.
There seems to be quite a few positives for this new line-up but there are also some negative such as the Finiches continue to be the creative team for the Wonder Woman series something like this wouldn't happen to either Superman or Batman. DC Comics wouldn't dare put a newbie writer to either of their books. I'm also disappointed that the Superman/Wonder Woman fauxmance series will continue. I also can't believe that Supergirl was cancelled along with a lot of the Green Lantern books.
I guess each change will bring about the good and the bad, I just hope Lois Lane will finally be shown more because it seems like all the books where she wasn't an after thought in have been cancelled: Superman Unchained, Adventures of Superman, Futures End, Superman Family Adventures and Smallville Season 11. It's as if they don't want Lois Lane being anywhere near Clark/Superman or doing anything productive.
Anyway, here is the new line-up:
