An all-new, all-ages series full of magic and whimsy from award-winning creators Eric Shanower (Adventures in Oz) and Gabriel Rodriguez (Locke & Key)! Spinning out of Winsor McKay's brilliant early 20th Century strip, Return to Slumberland sees King Morpheus' daughter, in the Royal Palace of Slumberland, selecting her next-playmate - Nemo! Review:
I must have a knack for finding weird and whimsical stories because Little Nemo: Return to Slumberland is like the Wizard of Oz meets Alice in Wonderland with a dash of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
It's a cute little story that finds James "Jimmy" Nemo Summerton being selected to be the Princess of Slumberland's latest playmate except he doesn't really want to go there. However, the hardest part is actually getting there any accidents have him waking up back in his bed. And when he finally does arrive in Slumberland it's unbelievable. Even though Jimmy thinks the palace is amazing he would still rather go home.
Trying to avoid having to play with the Princess, Jimmy started hanging out with the trouble maker Flip Flap. The two went from one situation to the next to have to end up needing help from the Princess.
This was a fun fantasy adventure that finds Jimmy finally enjoying himself and ends with a cliffhanger finding the trio about to go on another adventure, hoping to read more from this. I love the artwork it's very bright and colorful.
