Nesting: Samatha Jones' Apartment (Sex and the City)

Samantha Jones' New York City studio apartment was set up for one purpose and that was to entertain. And I don't mean for dinner parties. Something that surprised me, with her bold and racy personality, her apartment had a very minimalist feel. There were no knick-knacks or clutter strewn about.

Bedroom and Sitting Area

Her bed (with built-in side tables) was the central focus of the apartment. It was draped with rich and luxurious bedding and comfy accent pillows. It's very seductive and sensual. I wonder if somewhere behind that curtain is her closet because on the show I don't recall if they ever showed where she kept her clothes. And that armoire maybe beautiful but there is no way it held all of her clothes, shoes and jewelry.

The sitting area is simple yet elegant with a white chair and ottomans. And that full length mirror is beautiful.

Kitchen and Fireplace

The galley kitchen probably wasn't used very often. It's narrow but spacious and it definitely had a lot of storage space, look at all those cabinets and shelves. I couldn't see her painting or doing anything with the kitchen, the only thing she most likely did was find bar stools that matched the paint.

Since she doesn't have room for a desk, the kitchen counter could double as one. She has enough space to spread out all her paper work as well as use her laptop to work on any PR projects. Although, I'm not sure how comfortable those bar stools would be for long hours of work.

As for the fireplace, I doubt Samantha would go through all the trouble of setting a fire and keeping up the maintenance for it. With this being a renovated apartment, a heating system was most likely included. I do like that candles were placed on the mantle and lit they make the room more romantic.

Bathroom

The bathroom was very simplistic with greenish slate tiles but the focal point was the bowl sink in a wooden counter.
