Nesting: Set Tour of Julie James' Home for I Know What You Did Last Summer

Jennifer Love Hewitt and entertainment reporter Tommy DiDario gave fans a small set tour of Jennifer's character Julie James' home for the upcoming movie I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot/sequel/revival (I consider it to be all three). Well, it wasn't quite a set tour more like showcasing the mantel. As well as giving us a look at one of Julie's outfits and a little information about the character. And not to mention gifting Tommy that t-shirt. I'm a little jealous, I'd love one of those t-shirts with the iconic line "What are you waiting for?!"

Okay, aside from the items Jennifer talked about (that artwork is amazing), some of the things I noticed were:

1. The books stored in the fire place and up high on the shelves near the celling. I figure since Julie is now a Professor, the set designer probably wanted to highlight that with all the books.
2. Her diploma on the wall. I find it interesting that it almost blends into the wall.
3. From what little of Julie's house we see, it has a very old, slightly dark academia feel to it. Which includes the little knick-knacks placed around the mantel.

As a fan of the I Know What You Did Last Summer franchise, I can't wait to see this movie which will be in theatres Friday, July 18th. I'll be honest, I'm not that interested in the new characters, I'm sure they're probably interesting (at least I hope so). However, the real draw to seeing this movie for me is Julie and Ray Bronson. I wish the movie had just been centered around them but hopefully, Ray and Julie will have a good story and a good amount of screen time. Because I want to know what happened in their lives and if they will hopefully survive.

Nesting: Roller Skate Mug

I saw this roller skate mug (below) and it immediately made me think of the character Dorothy "Tootie" Ramsey from the classic TV series, The Facts of Life. In the first season of the show, Tootie was always wearing one of her multiple pairs of roller skates in various styles. From zipping around the private school Eastland to hanging in the common areas of the dorm to even attending classes she was never without her skates.

Nesting: Howard "Chimney" Han using the KonMari Method (9-1-1)

When watching TV shows, I like to see how characters' homes are decorated or organized. On most shows, the characters homes are truly spotless. Everything is all tidy and clean. So, it's interesting to see when a character is actually cleaning or organizing their home. For me, this time of the year always feels like the perfect time to declutter. From going through my closets or any other areas that need uncluttering, it just feels wonderful organizing my home. And getting rid of excess stuff not only frees up space but also relieve a bit of stress from seeing so much stuff cluttering up your home.

There are so many tips and techniques you can use to help you get organized. For instance 9-1-1 character Howard "Chimney" Han used the Marie Kondo "KonMari Method" to clean and declutter his apartment in the episode Stuck (season 2 episode 14). While he was recuperating after he had been stabbed by his soon to be girlfriend Maddie Buckley's abusive husband Doug. During his many weeks of healing, he was cleaning his apartment which included sorting through his clothes. In using the KonMari Method, he handled each item to see whether or not they sparked joy. And if so, he would fold the clothes he kept. And for the ones that didn't, he put the clothes in a pile to most likely donate.

It's pretty interesting to see organizing scenes on screen especially when most characters' homes are so perfectly tidy and spotless.

Nesting: Emily in Paris set tour (Architectural Digest)

I have never seen one episode of Emily in Paris but I do love looking at sets of shows and movies. And this Architectural Digest tour of sets from Emily in Paris is just interesting and inspiring. Actress Lily Collins who plays Emily Cooper gives the tour which includes Agence Grateau, the office of where her character works at. Along with the restaurant the character Gabriel works at and his apartment. As well as a look at Emily and Mindy Chen’s apartment. I just love what the set designer/decorator did with these sets from all the details and colors and textures, it's fantastic.

As I said before I've never seen one episode of Emily in Paris but after watching this I just might. I love that there is so much that goes into telling a story and the way they are using these sets is really bringing to life Emily's story.

Nesting: Teapot and Tea Cup from the "Red, White & Royal Blue" Promo Video

I was watching a promo video for Red, White & Royal Blue when I noticed the teapot and cups that were being used by the actors Nicholas Galitzine and Taylor Zakhar Perez. I'm a tea drinker, so of course I would notice the teapot and cups which I believe are by Maxwell & Williams. I think both the teapot and cups are so cute and I like the eye-catching pattern and the blue, pink and purple color combination.

To get the look, I did a search but I couldn't find the exact one that was featured in the video. However, I did find a similar one in blue, green and white.

Nesting: Striped Bookend on the Diaz Family's Bookcase (9-1-1)

I love bookcases, they make a home feel cozy and personal. I like that you can see someone's personality and interest from all the different books and knick-knacks displayed throughout the shelves. And speaking of bookcases, there's a scene in the 9-1-1 third season episode Fools, where Christopher Diaz was sitting at the dining room table talking with his father Eddie. And during that scene, I noticed a striped bookend on the shelf of the bookcase that was behind Christopher.

The décor in the Diaz house (minus Christopher's bedroom) is pretty neutral and lowkey and this bookend perfectly goes with it. What I like about this bookend is the stripe detail makes this very eye-catching. To get the look, I found a very similar bookend that just might be the exact match of the one used in the show. If not, it's definitely close.

Nesting: Evan Buckley's mugs

I love noticing recurring home décor little details in shows for instance, the sleek and sophisticated gray mugs that Evan "Buck" Buckley uses. The first time I noticed the mugs were back in 9-1-1's third season 16th episode The One That Got Away. Since then, the mugs have appeared throughout the series with the most recent in the sixth season 4th episode Animal Instincts.

Whether he's drinking out of them alone or guests using them such as his big sister Maddie (season 3 episode 16), his then girlfriend Taylor Kelly (season 5 episode 14: Dumb Luck), his friends and co-workers Henrietta "Hen" Wilson and Howard "Chimney" Han (season 5 episode 17: Hero Complex) and an old friend Connor (season 6 episode 4). Since I couldn't find the exact mugs that are used on the show, I found some that were similar.

Fashion and Nesting Meets Fandom: Christopher Diaz's Star Wars Backpack and Water Bottle

When I first watched this scene from the 9-1-1 fifth season 11th episode Outside Looking In, I remember noticing Christopher Diaz's Star Wars backpack and water bottle. No surprise since I'm a big Star Wars fan. I love how on the show, Christopher's interests are constantly shown such as dinosaurs, sea animals, space/solar system, art, etc. in either big or little details.

I believe this episode introduced his interest of Star Wars with the backpack and water bottle. Chris' backpack was shown again in the fifth season finale Starting Over when his father Eddie was packing it before they left to take Chris to school.

Nesting: Hen and Karen Wilson's Mrs. Mugs

I just love when set designers/decorators add items that perfectly reflect the characters on shows. For instance, these Mrs. and Mrs. mugs that Henrietta "Hen" Wilson and her wife Dr. Karen Wilson were using in the 9-1-1 fifth season episode May Day. The mugs are sleek and minimalist and perfect for drinking out of as Hen and Karen question whether Paramedic Jonah Greenway was responsible for the death of 9-1-1 Dispatcher Claudette Collins.

To get the look, I found a similar mug but in gold lettering. It still has the same minimalist design but the gleaming gold accent gives it that pop of something extra. This mug might not be an official 9-1-1 set piece but it's the closest I can get to finding.

My thoughts on why Evan Buckley wasn't going to give his apartment to Taylor Kelly

There was a running theory among some 9-1-1 fans who thought prior to the fifth season finale Starting Over airing, that when Evan "Buck" Buckley and Taylor Kelly broke up, he would give her his apartment. It was due to what Taylor said in the episode Fear-O-Phobia. After Buck told her about him kissing another woman, she was mad and left the apartment. However, she also mentioned that she didn't have anywhere else to go in regard to him asking if she was coming back. However, since they broke up in the season finale, she must have found some where to go because she moved out of the apartment.

Nesting: Is Evan Buckley's Bike, Wall Art?

Every time there's a scene on 9-1-1 that's in Evan "Buck" Buckley's apartment, I always notice his bike hanging on the wall. At this point, I consider it to be wall art. Because there has never been a scene of him riding it around his Los Angeles neighborhood or even just rolling it back into his apartment after going for a ride.

'Tis the season, have you already decorated? Well, whether or not you have or are still in the process of putting up decorations or maybe not putting up any at all. Here's a clip to watch. It's a scene from 9-1-1's fifth season Christmas episode and Christopher Diaz is making sure his father Eddie is decorating everything just right.

In the beginning, it's a funny clip but unfortunately there's a sad reason behind it. Chris was putting a lot of pressure on having the perfect Christmas because he's afraid his father might die. Eddie has such a dangerous job as a firefighter and in the kid's defense his dad has nearly died twice. And not to mention Christopher's mother Shannon died when she was accidentally hit by a car. Which has turned Chris into a perfectionist trying to control the holiday just in case it's the last one he has with his father.

With that said, I hope everyone will love each other not just for this holiday season but every day!

Nesting: Do you think 9-1-1's Eddie Diaz will ever use his Hildy Coffee Maker?

I was wondering about the Hildy Coffee Maker Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz received as a "prank gift" from his best friend Evan "Buck" Buckley in the 9-1-1 episode Future Tense (season 4 episode 3). And I wonder if he will ever use it?

Earlier in the episode, when Buck and Eddie were on an emergency call in a Hildy powered Smart House, Eddie had mentioned that he thought about getting a new fancy coffee maker. I guess Buck (and Eddie's son Christopher) thought the high-tech Hildy Coffee Maker was something Eddie wouldn't buy for himself. So, Buck bought it for him as a gift disguised as a prank.

Although, Eddie doesn't seem to have a problem with most technology (since he has a smart phone, computer, video game system and most likely a smart TV) but for some reason he was slowly becoming anti-Hildy or more like scared of Hildy. I think the idea of targeted online advertising was freaking him out because no matter where he went online he was being targeted with ads for coffee makers.

I do wonder how expensive that Hildy Coffee Maker was since it's a voice controlled self-making coffee maker that also makes espresso? It just seems like a pretty expensive prank. I noticed that in later episodes such as Breaking Point, that whenever Eddie's kitchen was shown, the Hildy Coffee Maker is no where to be seen. I guess Eddie still hasn't gotten around to using it and I wonder if he ever will? He probably still has it boxed up and stored in a closet, afraid to use it. In the Future Tense episode, Eddie had said several times that his old coffee maker was still good and he was only thinking about getting a new one. And that's the one he's still using which in Breaking Point was sitting on his kitchen counter.

I guess my question is, do you think Eddie will ever use his Hildy Coffee Maker?

Nesting: Lando Calrissian's Millennium Falcon in Solo: A Star Wars Story

I remember when I was a little girl seeing Star Wars: A New Hope for first time on TV. It immediately caught my attention and when the Millennium Falcon first appeared on screen my reaction was pretty similar to Luke Skywalker's when he called it a piece of junk. I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover but Han Solo had made such a big deal about his ship that once it appeared I couldn't help but feel slightly disappointed. However, despite my initial reaction about the Falcon's less than stellar appearance, I soon realized it really was an impressive ship.

One of the things I loved about Solo: A Star Wars Story besides it being a great heist movie was getting to see more of the interior of the Millennium Falcon. The ship shown in Solo was such a stark contrast to what was shown in the original Star Wars trilogy. It goes without saying that Lando Calrissian has impeccable taste and when he owned the Falcon it reflected his style and sophistication. After watching Solo, Lando's line "What have you done to my ship?" from The Empire Strikes Back, really makes sense because you can't help wondering what did Han and Chewbacca do to that ship?

Nesting: Marion Ravenwood's Shot Glasses (Raiders of the Lost Ark)

If there is one lesson Indiana Jones' Marion Ravenwood would want you to learn, it's this: don't challenge her to a drinking contest. You will certainly lose your money and pass out from your efforts. She took over running the bar, The Raven following the death of her father Archaeology Professor Abner Ravenwood and I think the drinking contests add a little excitement to her life running a bar in a small village in Nepal. Her high tolerance for alcohol may have been an unfair advantage but it goes to show never make a bet you're afraid to lose.

Nesting: Cloud City Penthouse Living Room (Star Wars)

At first glance, all you see is the standout futuristic style of the living room in the Cloud City penthouse apartment. It's very eye-catching with a decorative glass ceiling, molded walls and beautiful furnishings that gives the room a perfect out of this world feel. As the Baron Administrator of Cloud City, I wonder if Lando Calrissian's impeccable sense of style was taken into consideration in the designing of Cloud City and this luxurious penthouse.

The living room has a sophisticated and minimalist feel with the furniture consisting of white chairs and round ottomans, that look surprisingly comfortable, accompanied by curved glass tables. The furniture is surrounding a large art installation which I wouldn't be surprised if it doubles as a light as well.

Nesting: Alexis and David Rose's Motel Beds (Schitt's Creek)

On the Schitt's Creek TV series, I love Alexis Rose's girly bohemian glam style which is why I was surprised that she didn't do anything to redecorate her bed at the motel. She always managed to stay as chic as possible, despite her family losing all of their money, their home and nearly everything else (it was all seized by the government) with the family moving to the small town Schitt's Creek (which they own) to live in an outdated motel. Throughout all of that, she never lost her sense of style.

Nesting: Kira Yukimura's bedroom (Teen Wolf)

When Kira Yukimura first appeared on Teen Wolf's third season, her bedroom reflected that of a typical teen girl. At the time, she thought she was just a normal girl, however, that changed when she started to develop supernatural powers. Kira not only found out that she was a Kitsune, a fox spirit but so was her mother, Noshiko.

I think the more she found out about being a Kitsune and the connection to her Asian heritage (her mom Noshiko is Japanese and her father Ken is Korean), it influenced how she redecorated her bedroom.

Nesting: Mary Richards' Studio Apartment (The Mary Tyler Moore Show)

What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of studio apartments? Is it small, dreary and cramped and that's probably true for some studio apartments. However, I've seen a lot that are spacious and well-lit like Mary Richards' apartment on The Mary Tyler Moore show. It's considered to be one of the most famous and iconic apartments and that's definitely saying something.

One of the highlights about her apartment, which was in a Victorian house, was the sunken living area. The multi-purpose room was used as her living room, dining room and bedroom (she had a sofa bed). The rest of the space includes large windows, a small kitchen, two closets and a bathroom.

Her living room stood out to me because of the full sized furniture which was an eclectic mix of high and low end pieces that somehow worked. Mary's apartment could have easily resembled a doll's house if the set designer had used smaller furniture. Something else that stood out to me was the built-in bookcases along the floor which she used to store her books.

Nesting: Lois Lane and Clark Kent's Kitchen and Living/Dining Room (Batman v Superman)

I love watching movies and TV shows and not only for the stories but for the home decor inspiration. I like to see how the set decorator and designer create a space for the characters. In Batman v Superman, viewers got a look at Lois Lane and Clark Kent's apartment which I thought had a very cozy and lived in look.

Although it's small, this one bedroom apartment has an open layout which makes the place appear larger than it is. You can tell that they maximized every bit of space in this apartment. I love that their living room and kitchen area is filled with so much stuff from a mini workshop near the kitchen to various artwork, framed pictures and knick-knacks displayed throughout their home. I'm surprised they even have two TVs (and there probably is another one in the bedroom) within such a small space but I guess as reporters they need to stay informed on the latest news.
