365 Days of Books of Interest: Day #127: Avatar: The Last Airbender: North and South part 1

I think it was a great idea to continue the Avatar: The Last Airbender animated series in a comic book series. Reading the comic books have been interesting because the stories we are getting are expanding on the some of the subplots that were introduced in the animated series.

I want to read this story arc because it will focus on Sokka, Katara, their father and their village. Because on the cartoon, after Katara and Sokka left the Southern Water Tribe to help Aang, that was the last the viewer saw of their little village. It will be nice that the story will be about them this time.

Book: Avatar: The Last Airbender: North and South part 1 by Gene Luen Yang

When Aang leaves to aid Zuko with the Kemurikage, Katara and Sokka return to the Southern Water Tribe by themselves. A Northerner named Malina seems to be behind this change, pushing the North and South to be more unified...but what are her true goals?
