Monte Carlo (Release Date: July 1, 2011)
When I first watched Monte Carlo, it gave me the feeling of watching one of those old Hollywood movies. The scenery was beautiful (it was filmed on location) and the story was both funny and sweet.
The story follows Grace (played by Selena Gomez) who recently graduated from her Texas high school. She was planning to take a summer trip to Paris with her best friend Emma (played by Katie Cassidy). Joining them is Grace's stepsister Meg (played by Leighton Meester) who is not that thrilled be accompanying them.
The trip did start out pretty bad but somewhere along the way their trip goes from crappy to the ultimate vacation all thanks to Grace being mistaken for someone else.
I know this didn't get the best reviews some critics said it was too Disney but I enjoyed watching it. Not every movie has to be dark and dreary. This was a fun and lighthearted movie with romance, travel, friendship and wonderful fashion.
