I want a new Superman TV series

As much as I still enjoy watching Smallville, Superman: The Animated Series, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and Adventures of Superman, I want a new series. I wonder if and when we will ever get another Superman TV series? And I don't count the Krypton series that will be airing on the syfy channel. I have no interest in watching that.

I would love it if there was a Superman show starring Tyler Hoechlin. Although, I hate that on Supergirl they depowered him in order to make Kara appear stronger (well, it is her show), I still think this is a good version of the character. As Clark Kent, he was charming, warm and a little corny but as Superman he held a touch of authority that went well with his compassion.

I'm a big Superman fan and I would love to watch a new series but I don't think it should be on the CW. Perhaps Netflix because the CW doesn't seem to have a good handle on the superhero shows. Back when Smallville aired that was the only superhero show on the CW but now it seems like the network has more superhero shows than they can handle. I would say that most of the shows are relatively entertaining to watch but are sort of hit or miss with there being a small group of really good episodes that are unfortunately mixed in with a large number of terrible fillers and poorly written ones.

At the moment, it really doesn't look like we will be getting a new Superman series but a girl can hope. On a side note, I love this on set picture. It looks as if Superman just saw someone toss a plastic bottle on the ground and he's about to perhaps start lecturing them on the merits of not only picking up their trash but on recycling.
