If Agent Margaret "Peggy" Carter had a superpower it would be confidence because she seems to have buckets full of it. She may have started out in the comic books as a minor character but thanks to the movie Captain America: The First Avenger and the Agent Carter TV series, she was turned into a steadfast, courageous and endearing person who fights for the greater good.
I consider her to be the epitome of confident which she definitely needed because she was making her way in a world that was extremely sexist among other things. During that time, society believed women (and people of color) were only able to do menial tasks but Peggy wasn't one to stand back and accept those limitations. She took chances even when her actions would most certainly be frowned upon. What I like is that she kicked down the door, literally and figuratively and proved to herself what she was capable of. She doesn't seek out nor need anyone's approval because the important thing is she believes in herself even when she is constantly treated poorly in a sexist society.
Despite being able to take down multiple assailants and put together effective plans, Peggy's greatest strength is her confidence. When the world continued to beat down on her for simply being a woman she never gave up. She believed she could do something and she didn't let anyone get in her way of pursuing it.
There are times when my confidence is down but then I think of Peggy Carter and it helps inspire me to regain confidence in myself. I never understood why someone would find it ridiculous to be inspired by characters. Because inspiration can come from anywhere and not just in real life.
