To anyone interested or thinking about reading comics, don't worry about knowing where to start just find a book (or character) that interest you. I certainly didn't start reading comics from the first issue but with more comics collected in a trade edition that might be an easier option for some new readers or for anyone who doesn't have a local comic book store.
Anyway, here's my list for this week's comics:
DC Comics
Book: Catwoman #7
Description:
What's a cat burglar to do? When things went bad for her in Gotham, Selina Kyle picked up stakes and moved to set up a new life in Villa Hermosa. Things went about as well as they could for an international super-criminal, particularly now that Catwoman has established herself as a major player in her new town.
Too bad the past always has a way of catching up with you. Gotham comes to Catwoman in the form of the Penguin, fresh from his most recent tussle with Batman, and he's not just looking to horn in on Selina's new scheme; he comes bearing hot goss about everything-and everyone-Selina tried to leave behind.
Book: Scooby Apocalypse #33
Description:
Lost, alone and confused, the gang struggles to regroup as Fred and his monster horde slowly close in on them. Is the end of the world finally here? Plus, the JLA trials of Atom Ant continue!
Book: Detective Comics #996
Description:
In the catacombs under Paris, Henri Ducard is not going to sit and wait for the death that’s coming for everyone who helped to train Batman...he’s going to wrestle it to the ground and put a bullet between its eyes! Good plan—but what if it just gets right back up? Can even Batman save him then?
Book: Wonder Woman #62
Description:
It's the final knock-down drag-out battle between Ares and Wonder Woman-but is there still any hope of changing the young god's ways before he hardens into the worst possible version of himself? And if he does...is Wonder Woman to blame?
IDW Publishing

Marvel Comics
Book: Black Panther #8
