Weekend Film: Crossword Mysteries: A Puzzle to Die For

This new movie Crossword Mysteries: A Puzzle to Die For looks really interesting with a crossword puzzle editor helping a police detective to solve a murder.

I really love watching Hallmark movies however I have an issue with the company continuing to avoid making more diverse movies and constantly recycling actors instead of giving someone new a chance. Last year, during Christmas time I thought Hallmark was finally making an effort to change the first issue by creating several diverse Christmas movies but since then there has been no more attempt to create more. It was as if they made those handful of movies to quiet down the steady complaints about their movies' lack of diversity. But fans want more than just diverse Christmas movies they want romance movies, mystery movies, drama movies, etc.

Now as for the second issue of Hallmark recycling actors just look at this new Crossword Mysteries movie series for example. It stars Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliot who have already starred in four movies together, the All of My Heart three movie series and the holiday movie A Christmas Melody. These two really do have really good chemistry together and I can't wait to watch this new movie but I just wish Hallmark would give new actors a chance to lead a movie, who knows by giving a new actor a chance they could discover a great talent.
