Weekend Films: Emma and The Call of the Wild

For this movie weekend, there are to two wonderful looking adaptions based on the classic novels Emma by Jane Austen and The Call of the Wild by Jack London. Despite reading read a lot of classics, I haven't read these two stories yet but I will. However, I've seen various adaptations that I've enjoyed.

Emma looks fantastic, very fun, lively, humorous and romantic. As for The Call of the Wild, it seems like it's going to be both very emotional and action-packed. I really can't wait to see both movies.

What movies are you seeing this weekend?

Update: I just checked my local theatre and Emma is not being shown. So, I guess I'll only see The Call of the Wild this weekend.

Adapted from the beloved literary classic, The Call of the Wild vividly brings to the screen the story of Buck, a big-hearted dog whose blissful domestic life is turned upside down when he is suddenly uprooted from his California home and transplanted to the exotic wilds of the Yukon during the Gold Rush of the 1890s. As the newest rookie on a mail delivery dog sled team--and later its leader--Buck experiences the adventure of a lifetime, ultimately finding his true place in the world and becoming his own master.
