What Are Your Favorite Romantic Movies?

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and I was wondering what your favorite romantic movies are? Do you go for something filled with drama and angst like Pretty in Pink or something more sweet and romantic like a cookie cutter Hallmark movie? Maybe it something that has action and suspense or a true romantic comedy that will have you laughing until the end. I guess that's why I enjoy watching romance movies there is so many different ways to tell a story.

I have an extremely long list of favorite romance movies and here are five of my favorites that I've recently rewatched. I'll try to post a few more throughout the week. What are some of your favorite romantic movies?

Fever Pitch

I love this movie, it follows Lindsey Meeks, a workaholic who meets Ben Wrightman, a teacher and they begin dating. However, Ben's extreme love for the Boston Red Sox might stand in the way of their growing relationship. Ben is a total fanatic, he lives and breathes the Red Sox and throughout this romantic comedy, it'll have you wondering if a non-sports fan and sports fanatic can find love together.

Front Cover

This is a very heartfelt romantic drama that follows Ryan Fu, a fashion stylist who is assigned to work with Ning, an up-and-coming Chinese movie star. These two initially clash due to misunderstandings and cultural differences but the more they get to know each other an unexpected romance was starting to form. However, it may be at the wrong time.

Just Wright

Dating for Physical Therapist Leslie Wright should be fun but not when she's constantly seen as nothing more than a friend. A chance meeting between her and New York Nets basketball player Scott McKnight should have led to something but instead he falls for her godsister and friend Morgan Alexander. However, an accident may give Leslie an unbelievable career opportunity to help Scott but it might also lead to a broken heart.

Sex and the City

Carrie Bradshaw's life is like a fairy tale with a surprise engagement to her long term boyfriend Big (a.k.a. John James Preston) but sometimes fairy tales can take a detour before the happily ever after. I love this movie, it's ultimate glam romantic dramedy as it follows Carrie and her three best friends Samantha Jones, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York Goldenblatt as their lives undergo so many changes.

The Proposal

When Margaret Tate's job as editor at a publishing company is at risk due to her possibly being deported she manipulates her assistant Andrew Paxton into marrying her. This was a good and funny movie and Margaret is so horrible but you'll find yourself rooting for both romance and Andrew's revenge.
