Beauty: Four Easy Summer Hairstyles

A cool way to beat the heat all season long is to keep the hair out off your face. Here are four styles you can easily pull together (without a hair stylist) for either a look that's sleek and sophisticated or casual and laid-back.

Top Knot

The easiest way to do this is to put your hair in a high ponytail then twist the hair into a knot and pin into place.

Ponytails and Half Up, Half Down Style

A ponytail whether low or high is one of the easiest to wear styles. You can change up the look with a side part or by teasing up the hair on the top of your head. The half up, half down is also very easy, all you have to is gather up some of your hair and put it in a bun, a ponytail or simply twist a few pieces and pin up.

Braided Updos

A braided bun or the "Heidi" are two easy styles to wear. For the bun, put your hair up in a ponytail, braid it then wrap the tail into a bun and pin it. For the Heidi (or the milkmade), part your hair down the middle then either make two low ponytails on either side then braid and pin up. You can forgo the ponytails if you want to and instead make two low braids then pin them up. There are plenty of tutorials online if you want to see how to create this look.
