Review:

Batman: Harley and Ivy features nine fun and fascinating stories about the deadly duo Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. The stories show them going up against Batman, stopping deforestation in Costa Verde, finding a fun way to deal with holiday boredom, Ivy showing off her enchanting powers on the men in Arkham Asylum and another story that has Ivy enchanting Robin and turning him into a love struck minion who helped the duo commit crimes and so much more.

Ivy and Harley are amazing character who can be foolish and terrible but will surprisingly do something good like protect a little girl who had escaped from her kidnapper in Batman: Black and White #3. These two have amazing chemistry and the evolution of their friendship/possible relationship was interesting to see. They go from reluctant partners in crime in Batman: Harley and Ivy #1-3 to developing a real friendship/relationship in other stories. It was interesting to see in one story, Harley tricking a superhero into helping her in order to save Ivy who had been captured by some dangerous villains.

This has a good collection of stories that I enjoyed reading. They're funny and full of action and since it's Harley and Ivy there's quite a bit of violence. I did mention they are absolutely deadly. The story from Batman Adventures Holiday Special #1 should be familiar to fans of Batman: The Animated Series (or more specifically the revamped The New Batman Adventures) since Harley and Ivy's story from the episode Holiday Knights was adapted from this comic book.

Ivy and Harley seem to have a knack for creating their own worst stories where it usually lands them in Arkham Asylum. Even when they have the chance to escape or are released from Arkham and leave Gotham they never stay away for long. They tend to end up right back in Arkham Asylum yet again such as in Batman: Harley and Ivy and Batman Adventures Annual #1.

If you're a Harley and Ivy fan and haven't read these stories, I would really recommend getting this book.
