Fandom Friday: Random Fandom Thoughts #7

Happy Friday, what fandom thoughts are on your mind?

- I started rewatching the first season of NCIS: Los Angeles and out of the first nine episodes, I noticed that the agents, G. Callen, Sam Hanna and Kensi Blye rarely identify themselves as NCIS. And since they're in plain clothes and don't identify themselves, it's no wonder why most if not all of the people they're investigating either run from them, fight or attack them, or shoot at them when the agents show up.

All that aside, I forgot how much I loved this show, I stopped watching it somewhere in the third season when I fell behind. The show just ended it's 12th season and I'm in the process of rewatching the series and catching up on all the episodes in seasons 1-11 (which I bought on DVD when they were all on sale). I believe the 12th season is out on DVD in August.

- I love the romance between Joy Harper and Zoey Taylor in this seventh season of Good Witch. I've seen where some fans don't like the romance and want it removed. Thankfully, there are more fans who love this new romance added to the show. And I love how it's not even an issue on the show, none of the characters question it, their relationship is treated the same as all the other ones on the show.

For anyone who doesn't watch the Hallmark TV Series Good Witch, they met when Joy, a contractor, got her arm stuck in a wall while she was renovating Stephanie Borden's The Bistro Café. When the firefighters were called, Zoey, a firefighter, safely removed Joy's arm from the wall. From there it was the start of something magical (no pun intended) for these two.

Their relationship is so sweet. I love how we’re getting to see their relationship develop slowly, allowing them to get to know each other better while also showing how their feelings continue to grow. I'm happy the Hallmark channel continues to include more diversity. I have been a fan of Good Witch ever since I watched the first movie which would led to more movies and then a TV series. This is a fantastic series that has been created and it had continued to improve. And if recent reports are correct and this is the final season, it will be sad to see it end but most fans don't get eight movies and seven seasons of TV series to showcase a truly wonderful story that introduced viewers to Cassie Nightingale and all the other interesting characters in Middleton. The Good Witch is one of my favorite shows but I guess all good things must eventually come to an end.

- I love the 2016 Ghostbusters movie just as much as I love the two original 1980s Ghostbusters movies. I really wish the 2016 version had gotten a sequel because at the end of movie it seemed like they were going to be dealing with a much bigger threat than ghosts. I wish fans had given this movie a chance when it was in theatres because the movie was fun and like the original it had the perfect blend of supernatural and comedy.

- Okay, I am super excited for the second season of The Witcher and even more so after Netflix released the teaser trailer for it. This looks so good, I can't to watch the upcoming season which will premiere December 17th.
