Review:

Nancy Drew has never found a mystery she didn't want to solve and in The Haunted Bridge she found several. Between trying to compete in a golf tournament at the Deer Mountain Hotel, Nancy was trying to solve the mystery of the haunted bridge and help her father Carson Drew with his case about jewel thieves.

Nancy and her best friends George Fayne and Bess Marvin were staying at the hotel for a few weeks as guests of Mr. Drew who was trying to solve the case of an elusive group of jewel thieves. Mr. Drew was looking for Margaret Judson, a young woman who he suspects may be connected to the thieves and Nancy's involvement in her father's case turned up some interesting clues. There is a suspicious guest at the hotel who has Nancy and her friends questioning whether he could be connected to the jewel thieves as well.

What I like about Nancy is that she never gives up. Even if a lead is a dead end, she won't let it get her down. She will continue to look for more clues until the mystery is solved. The Haunted Bridge was an interesting mystery, it had drama, suspense and humor. I often wish there was a list that showed which author wrote which Nancy Drew books because some of the books were better written than others. I think it would be nice to be able to read a specific author's books but since they were all published under the pseudonym of Carolyn Keene, you just have to read one and hope for a good story.
