Fashion Meets Fandom: Andie West (Step Up 5)

In Step Up 2: The Streets, Andrea "Andie" West had a tomboyish sporty style while that sort of continued in her second appearance in Step Up 5: All In. However, I feel like her style also matured a bit. Although, her wardrobe was still very sporty with her wearing a lot of dance and athletic pieces but she also wore a few more feminine pieces such as a really cute asymmetric dress in the scene when she dancing with Sean at the amusement park.

For this Fashion Meets Fandom, I was inspired by the outfit Andie wore when LMNTRIX were practicing in the basement of the hotel. She wore a loose fitting crop top paired with a sports bra (seen in the fifth picture) and leggings.

Since LMNTRIX were probably practicing for at least a few hours, Andie wore something that was airy, stretchy and comfortable to dance and move in. When you're working out or dancing for a long period of time, the last thing you want to wear is something tight and uncomfortable.

It's all about being comfy but you still want to wear something cute and stylish (and playful in Andie's case with her graphic print top).

For this Fashion Meets Fandom, I found two white crop tops that could easily be worn over a sports bra or tank top. Although, the first has long sleeves but it still has the same loose fit as the top Andie is wearing. While the second also has a loose fit but with an open back. For the leggings, I found a similar pair to the ones Andie was wearing but in a darker gray. I feel like all of these pieces would be easy to move in whether you're dancing or lounging around.
