Book Girl: Fashion Meets Fandom: Maddie Buckley's White Dress

In the 9-1-1 fourth season episode Buck Begins, Maddie Buckley wore this really cute white shirt dress. Since she was pregnant, comfort was probably the most important thing over style but the good thing about the shirt dress is that it's both. It's very relaxed, fun and casual while still feeling slightly structured and polished.

The relaxed fit of the dress was a good thing because with Maddie and her younger brother Evan "Buck"'s slightly distant parents Margaret and Philip in town for a visit, the family reunion was anything but relaxing. From old family secrets being revealed (which led to several arguments and hurt feelings) to Buck's past being shown to various stages of reconciliation, this episode had a lot Buckley family moments (not to mention the prior episode, 9-1-1, What's Your Grievance?).

But back to this dress, it's soft and flowy and looks absolutely comfortable. What I like about Maddie's dress is that it's an easy look to put together. So, for this Fashion Meets Fandom, I found seven white dresses that have a similar look and feel of Maddie's shirt dress. Three of the dresses have a loose silhouette and I figured you could add a belt if you wanted to have a more defined waist. Maddie paired her dress with gym shoes but you can complete the look with sandals, boots, flip flops as well as gym shoes.
