Entertainment News #10: Power Rangers, Barry and Iris and The CW

- A fun little Power Rangers announcement by actors David Yost and Walter Emanuel Jones for the upcoming 30th Anniversary of Power Rangers. I can't wait to see what their involvement will be in the celebration. Are they going to be in an episode of upcoming Power Rangers Cosmic Fury TV series or something else? Too bad I have to wait until next year to find out.

A reminder to any of my fellow Power Ranger fans, the episodes for the second half of the second season of Dino Fury have already premiered on Netflix.

- According to a TV Line article, actress Candice Patton reports that in the upcoming ninth and final season of The Flash on The CW, Barry and Iris West will be spending more time together. Candice (who plays Iris), said “It’s a lot of Barry and Iris. They’re not going to be separated. They are together and they are figuring it out as a team…they’re a strong superhero team this season.” That good because in the some of the last few seasons, Iris and Barry did always seemed to be separated a lot in various storylines. So, it will be nice to see them together more often in scenes in the final season.

- Speaking of The CW, Mark Pedowitz is stepping down as CEO of The CW after 11 and a half years. He was responible for overseeing the network’s Arrowverse expansion which now truly seems like it's come to an end. Especially since so many of the Arrowverse shows have either ended or been cancelled. As much as I love watching superhero/comic book shows it's starting to seem like there is less interest from viewers as there used to be and not just on The CW. It will be interesting to see going forward will there still be an interest in creating more superhero/comic book shows.
