Entertainment News #10: Power Rangers, Barry and Iris and The CW

- A fun little Power Rangers announcement by actors David Yost and Walter Emanuel Jones for the upcoming 30th Anniversary of Power Rangers. I can't wait to see what their involvement will be in the celebration. Are they going to be in an episode of upcoming Power Rangers Cosmic Fury TV series or something else? Too bad I have to wait until next year to find out.

A reminder to any of my fellow Power Ranger fans, the episodes for the second half of the second season of Dino Fury have already premiered on Netflix.

Entertainment News #8: Cancelled Shows, Shelved Movies and a Show Ending

- Netflix cancels the TV series First Kill after one season. I believe one of the reasons why Netflix keeps losing subscribers is due to the company constantly cancelling TV series. Viewers are not going to continue investing their time into series if the company can't be bothered to do the same. And they barely promoted this show before it premiered.

I don't like how now of days, networks and streaming services do the bare minimum when it comes to promoting shows and then expect fans and viewers to watch something they didn't know existed. Or networks and streaming services expect fans to do the promotion for them which is a lazy approach to marketing. It's disappointing this series was cancelled because it actually was rather interesting and I had hoped it would get another season to really delve more into the story.

Lately, I've been thinking of rewatching The Flash, there are so many things that I really love about that show. However, there is thing that still annoys me such as Barry's continuing to be advised by a team. The Flash has generally been a solo hero and it would be cool to see him breaking away from the team dynamic and going out there more on his own. So when he makes mistakes, it'll be up to him to learn from it and fix it.

Question of the Day: Who is the Fastest Runner: Flash or Superman?

I know this topic has been debated and discussed plenty of times but I figure why not toss in my 2 cent. So who do I think is the fastest runner: Flash or Superman?

I think the Flash is, especially since super speed is his main power otherwise why would he be called the fastest man alive if he wasn't. I know Superman also has super speed but he also has a lot of other powers and to me it makes more sense that the Flash would be the faster of the two in regards to running.

Now if it was Superman flying vs the Flash running like in the Justice League movie end credit scene then I think that would have a different answer because in that situation I would say that Superman would be the fastest. But since this question is about the fastest runner, I still say the Flash is.

You know my answer, so who do you think is the fastest runner: Flash or Superman?

Love That!: Justice League Movie

I know that in general people tend to talk about things they don't like more than they do the things they like. And I'm no exception because I know I do the same thing which is why I'm going to start focusing on things I have enjoyed but rarely talk about with my new column, Love That!. For instance, I realized that I have never said anything about the Justice League movie.

Surprisingly, I actually really enjoyed watching this movie. I feel like they finally got the characters heading in the right direction, Bruce Wayne (Batman) was actually thinking things through instead of being the raging idiot he was in Batman v Superman. While, Diana (Wonder Woman) was dealing with her feelings of isolation and it was nice to see Clark Kent (Superman) not so melancholy as he was in both Man of Steel and Batman v Superman.

It was interesting watching Bruce trying to make amends for the terrible decisions he made in BvS while he tried to put together a team of heroes. I absolutely adored Barry Allen (The Flash) and Arthur Curry (Aquaman)'s zany antics. Meanwhile, it was a little heartbreaking watching Victor Stone (Cyborg) struggle with trying to adjust to not only his new cybernetic body but also a feeling of isolation, but he worked through it. There were a lot of things I like about this movie including the scenes with Lois Lane and Clark at the farm and when Clark's mother Martha showed up. Those were really touching moments.

Justice League had plenty of action, humor and an interesting story, I found it to be far more enjoyable than the chaotic BvS or the depressing Man of Steel. However, it did have a problem with pacing, there were times when it felt like some scenes were moving at a snails pace. And that's a problem someone should have noticed either during filming or the editing process where it could have been fixed. I also had one more issue with the movie and that's with Batman and Lois calling Superman Clark while there were a few police officers nearby. I know they were mostly caught up in the moment of trying to calm down an enraged Superman after he was bought back to life. However, it will be harder for Clark to keep his identity a secret if more people know about it.

Aside from the pacing, this wasn't a bad movie, I don't know if DC Comics and Warner Bros. will continue this movie universe but I wish they would because Justice League felt like they finally listened to many of the complaints about Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. This is a movie that was actually fun to watch.

Toy Corner: The Flash Statue (Justice League movie)

I noticed a lot of fans comparing the Justice League Flash to The Flash from the CW series but why even compare them? Can't we appreciate both? And with that said, here is a statue that I would love to have.

I'm sure by now you know how much I love looking at all the details in statues. And this one is nothing but an amazing mix of details. All I am saying is this statue is everything and I want it.
