Fashion Meets Fandom: Taylor Kelly

I love putting together Fashion Meets Fandom (or Comics) post because I love fashion and also creating fandom inspired looks. For this 9-1-1 Monday and Fashion Meets Fandom post I was inspired by one of the outfits Taylor Kelly wore in the fifth season episode Past is Prologue. Taylor is not one of my favorite characters but it's easy to see that her career as a reporter is extremely important to her which is why her style is very business chic. In most of the episodes she had appeared in, Taylor's wardrobe mainly consisted of chic and sophisticated blazers, coats, shirts and blouses, camis, pants, dresses and dark wash jeans.

(9-1-1 season 5 episode 9: Past is Prologue)

During the scene when Taylor was wearing this outfit, she was being very secretive while skulking around her boyfriend Evan "Buck" Buckley's apartment gathering her things while he was out. And when he came home, he was surprised to see her but even more surprised when he found out she was getting ready to take a trip (for a personal reason). And had he not returned home at that moment she would have left town without telling him (this entire scene highlighted the many communication problems they had in their short-lived relationship which is a discussion for another post).

(9-1-1 season 5 episode 9: Past is Prologue)

Anyway, back to the focus of this post, Taylor's outfit. She wore a maroon or burgundy blouse with dark wash skinny jeans. I like this outfit, it's casual chic but it still has that cool effortless glam feel. To get the look, I found a similar style shirt but in a mauve or dusty pink and paired it with dark wash skinny jeans. You can complete the look with a pair of booties and a delicate necklace and earrings.
