My number one pick is firefighters Evan "Buck" Buckley and Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz from 9-1-1. Buck and Eddie have some of the most amazing chemistry and it would be such a waste not to put them together especially with how their connection and bond has continued to grow throughout the series. And neither have had a romantic relationship with even a fraction of the chemistry they have with each other. It would be nice if for once a showrunner recognized the chemistry between two same sex characters that they didn't initially set out to make canon but decided to go with it anyway. And the second half of the sixth season would be the perfect time for them to start to acknowledge their feelings and maybe even go on a date.
My second pick is school teachers Janine Teagues and Gregory Eddie from Abbott Elementary. They are another set of characters that have amazing chemistry. They already have this will they/won't they energy going and having them get together in the second season will not ruin their chemistry at all. They are so perfect for each other and it would be wonderful if it happened this season.
My third pick is Lydia Martin and Deputy Jordan Parrish from Teen Wolf. Lydia a Banshee and Jordan a Hellhound had an instant and amazing chemistry during the TV series which I believe years later would still be there. Which is why I would love if the upcoming Teen Wolf: The Movie which will be premiering on Thursday, January 26th would finally give them the chance they should have had at the end of the series. Since Dylan O'Brien will not be appearing in the movie I hope that means Lydia won't still have a relationship (off screen) with his character Stiles Stilinski and instead will get a chance to finally get together with Jordan.
My fourth pick is also in the Teen Wolf world, Mason Hewitt and werewolf Liam Dunbar. I always thought these best friends had a really good chemistry and connection. I still can't get over Liam sensing that something was wrong with Mason in the episode Superposition (season 6 episode 2). Liam had been out on the Lacrosse field practicing with Scott McCall when he somehow sensed that Mason, who had been in the school library with his boyfriend Corey Bryant, was in trouble.
How? I know that Liam is a werewolf but even with his enhanced abilities he couldn't have heard anything that was happening all the way from the Lacrosse field. And in the episode the writing never explained how Liam figured out that Mason was in trouble? I wonder if Mason is Liam's anchor because that's the only reason I could think of as to how Liam could have sensed something was wrong that far away. Which is why I always wondered if sometime in the future Mason and Liam as adults would eventually end up together. And since both characters will be in the Teen Wolf: The Movie, it would be great opportunity if their friendship turned into something more romantic.
My fifth pick is firefighters Paul Strickland and Marjan Marwani from 9-1-1: Lone Star. This is another set of best friends who also have amazing chemistry. With 9-1-1: Lone Star going into its fourth season, neither Paul nor Marjan have had a real love interest. Paul had a failed chance at romance back in the first season fifth episode Studs and the same goes for Marjan who had to let go of a potential romance in the second season fourth episode Friends with Benefits. It would be wonderful if they got a second chance at love with each other. Because they care so much about each other and they could easily go from friendship to romance.
And my final pick is Wednesday Addams and Enid Sinclair from Wednesday. I think the broody goth ghoul with her dry wit goes perfectly with the overly bubbly werewolf. They truly compliment each other. Wednesday has zero chemistry with her love interest Tyler Galpin and Xavier Thorpe, whereas with Enid she has tons of it. There's just something about this opposite attracts duo that I love. Especially since Enid seems to be the only one who's able to bring out a little bit of emotion in Wednesday whereas with Wednesday's love interests she can't be bothered to show any.
