Fandom Friday: Random Fandom Thoughts #33: Pugsley and Wednesday Addams, Tabitha and Adam Stephens and Braeden

Happy Friday, how has your week been? Well, here are a couple of my fandom thoughts:

- I really like the Wednesday TV series, it's a gothic supernatural mystery series. I like the characters (Wednesday, Enid, Bianca, etc.) and the story was very interesting as well as the mystery. I also like that Wednesday Addams went from being a little antagonist towards her parents Mortica and Gomez to gaining a better understand of them. Despite that, there is one issue I had with the show and that was changing the birth order for Pugsley and Wednesday by making Wednesday the older sibling instead of Pugsley. The show would have still been the same maybe with a few little changes if Pugsley was older since the focus is on Wednesday.

This reminds of the short lived 1970's Bewitched spin-off Tabitha that was about witch Tabitha Stephens. The show also featured her brother Adam. The thing is, the writers changed the birth order and made Adam the older sibling instead it being Tabitha. On Bewitched, Tabitha was born first in the second season and her little brother Adam was born in the sixth season. And on Tabitha not only did the birth orders change but the writers also got rid of Adam's powers and turned him into a diapproving mortal who didn't want his sister to use her magic. There was really no reason to have made those changes especially since the original source material was there as a reference.

- I was thinking about Braeden (who was a former U.S. Marshal turned mercenary) after she finally caught the elusive Desert Wolf in the fifth season of Teen Wolf. I was wondering what other adventures and cases she found herself on? Most likely something supernatural. Her relationship with werewolf Derek Hale obviously ended, so she would be back to traveling alone. However, I like to think that she occassionally got a few cases and a little help from Marin Morrell, the balance seeking Emissary from time to time. But she would most likely be on her own traveling from one place to another. I wish Braeden had gotten a spin-off because I think it would have been a really interesting show.
