Fandom Friday: Random Fandom Thoughts #34: Shadow and Bone, Superhero Documentary and Buck and Eddie

Happy Friday! I was wondering what some of your fandom thoughts were, I know I haven't posted a Fandom Friday in a while. And here are some of my thoughts:

- I love a good fantasy series and I've been hearing so many good things about the Shadow and Bone TV series on Netflix. It's based on two book series written by Leigh Bardugo: Shadow and Bone and Six of Crows. I had planned to read the books first but keep hearing how good it is, I might have to watch it before reading the books.

- I would love if there was a documentary on how the actors for superhero movies and shows get/got in shape for their roles. It takes a lot dedication and motivation to have to get in shape especially if something slightly temporary like a movie as oppose to a long running TV series and they have to be in shape for possibly multiple seasons. How much time is given for them to get in shape before they start filming? So if there is a documentary like this, let me know.

- I try not to have my expectations up too high but sometimes it's really disappointing being a 9-1-1 fan. Especially if you're a fan of Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz and Evan "Buck" Buckley and think they would be perfect for each other romantically. However, with news that yet again the Showrunner and writers decide to give them new love interests instead of having these two guys in their 30s find real love with each other.

This sixth season felt like the writers were trying to set up something for them but alas, it's back to random love interests that add nothing to the show. I keep saying that if either Buck or Eddie had been a woman, they would have already been together. It's disappointing when you see other showrunners and writers take chances on other shows yet 9-1-1's Showrunner and writers keep doing the same old song and dance for Eddie and Buck.
