Book Girl: Fashion Meets Fandom: May Grant's Graphic T-Shirt and Pants

I love that the color pink has been making a comeback over the years. At one point, it was weird that the color was being avoided because it was seen as too girly, too cutesy or for kids. But pink is such a bright and cheerful color that anyone can wear. I love this outfit that May Grant wore in the 9-1-1 sixth season 10 episode In a Flash. When I first watched this episode, I knew as soon as I saw her outfit, it would be perfect for Fashion Meets Fandom.

In this scene, May and her mother Athena were talking about their unofficial investigation that they were doing to help her step-father Robert "Bobby" Nash try to figure out how his friend and AA sponsor Wendell died.

Her outfit really stood out in this scene because although the topic was serious, the bright colors added a bit of optimism and hope. As I've said, I really like this outfit, it's a cute graphic t-shirt and pink pants. It's a casual weekend look that's perfect for running errands or hanging out with friends. Or if you're in college like May is, this could be a cute everyday/weekday look that could be worn to class, meeting up with friends, studying, etc.

To get the look, I found two graphic t-shirts that have a similar feel to the one May is wearing. The first is a Little Mermaid shirt that has similar colors and the second is a floral print that just has a similar feel. As for the pants or jeans that May is wearing, since I wasn't quite sure which one she was wearing, I included both. I also included a pair of shorts to add a little more summer vibe to the look.

As for accessories, she had her light blue phone case and although it's not shown in these pictures, May was wearing hoop earrings. Since I couldn't see what shoes she was wearing, I figure she probably wore gym shoes. Which would go great with the look that I put together, along with sandals, flats and flip flops.
