Eddie: I think you mean your last two girlfriends came with couches. Taylor moved out, what, four months ago, Buck? You could have replaced the couch by now.
Buck: Uh, well, maybe I don't want to pick the wrong couch again.
~ Evan "Buck" Buckley and Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz, 9-1-1 season 6 episode 1: Let the Games Begin
And sad to say, yet again Buck picked the wrong couch. It made absolutely no sense for Buck to have ended up with yet another bland love interest instead of Eddie. And this time his new girlfriend Natalia, a Death Doula is nothing more than a slightly different copy and paste version of his last girlfriend Taylor Kelly. Except Taylor was an interesting character that you loved to hate because she was so unethical and cutthroat. While his new girlfriend is so bland, boring and weird. And not to mention she's only interested in him because he died and came back to life.
And speaking of weird, Eddie's new love interest, Marisol is not only boring and has zero personality but she also has an incestuous vibe with her brother. Which is why it's still so disappointing that these are the last minute love interests they decided to put with Eddie and Buck in the sixth season finale. These are real bottom of the barrel choices for sure. Like so many fans, I'm going to keep pointing out how it continues to make no sense that Buck and Eddie are not together.
