Teaser Trailer: Avatar: The Last Airbender TV Series

I'm not the biggest fan of live-action versions of animated movies or shows, however looking at the trailer for Avatar: The Last Airbender this actually look good. The series will premiere February 22, 2024 on Netflix. And from looking at the trailer, it's already better than that terrible live-action movie The Last Airbender that was released back in 2010. That was one of the worst adaptations, there is nothing even remotely good about it. I don't even understand why that movie was so bad especially since the original source material was available to use as a reference.

And that's why I was a little hesitant about this upcoming new TV series when it was first announced. I was just really hoping it would be good and didn't turn out as terrible as the movie. But the trailer for this looks good. The only issue I have is that the actors cast for Sokka and Katara didn't have a darker complexion since their skin tone in the animated series is a lot browner. At least the casting isn't as bad as the movie but there is still a continued trend of casting actors with a lighter complexion for the roles. Other than that, I'm really interested in seeing this.
