Entertainment News #38: Chicago Fire, Cancelled Shows, The Thundermans movie Teaser Trailer

- Alberto Rosende is leaving Chicago Fire after four years of playing character Blake Gallo. His final appearance will be in the 12th season premiere. I'm so behind on Chicago Fire, I need to get caught up. Alberto Rosende is not the only cast member to announce they are leaving the show. It's starting to feel like the show is having a high turnover rate and it might be time for the show to end. Anyway, sad to see Alberto go but I hope his next project will be something interesting as well.

- There are two more shows to add to the cancelled show list. Amazon Prime has cancelled Riches after one season. Riches follows as Stephen Richards who has built a cosmetics empire, suffers a stroke and his family's secrets and lies rise to the surface and the future of his multi-million-pound company is at stake. And Apple Plus has cancelled Swagger after two seasons. Swaggers follows a basketball prodigy who must navigate a maze of pressure if he's going to overcome the odds against him and learn what it truly means to have swagger. I keep saying this but these network and streaming service executives don't give shows a chance to find an audience before they cancel them.

Edit: Fans of Swagger has started a petition to save the show. Here is the link if you would like to sign.

- During the Paramount+ panel at CCXP, the teaser trailer for the upcoming The Thundermans movie The Thundermans Return was released. The movie will premiere on Nickelodeon and Paramount+ sometime in March 2024. According to reports, the premise of the movie follows after three years of fighting crime in their new city of Metroburg, The Thundermans are suddenly stripped of their assignment and sent back to Hiddenville. While Hank and Barb look forward to their return "home", Chloe develops new friend groups, Billy and Nora enjoy a normal school life, and Max and Phoebe are determined to regain their superhero status.

I can't wait to see The Thundermans Return and looking at the teaser trailer the movie has the same look and feel as the TV series. I also really like the new supersuits, they look amazing.
