Trailer: The Thundermans Return

I can't believe I forgot to post the trailer for The Thundermans Return. I posted the teaser trailer back in December but somehow didn't get around to posting the official trailer especially since it was released last Sunday (February 11th) during the Super Bowl (which I didn't watch). Anyway, I love The Thundermans TV series and this movie looks like it will be just fun and ridiculous as the show was. Along with return of the main characters, it looks like nearly all of the supporting characters will appear as well. I do wonder if Grandpa Gideon will also make a little cameo, he was one wacky and cool old man. The movie will premiere on Thursday, March 7th on Paramount Plus.

Entertainment News #38: Chicago Fire, Cancelled Shows, The Thundermans movie Teaser Trailer

- Alberto Rosende is leaving Chicago Fire after four years of playing character Blake Gallo. His final appearance will be in the 12th season premiere. I'm so behind on Chicago Fire, I need to get caught up. Alberto Rosende is not the only cast member to announce they are leaving the show. It's starting to feel like the show is having a high turnover rate and it might be time for the show to end. Anyway, sad to see Alberto go but I hope his next project will be something interesting as well.

Fandom Thought: The Thundermans Movie

How is it that I'm just now finding out about that The Thundermans TV series returning with the original cast for a movie called The Thundermans Return. The movie will be written by Jed Spingarn and directed by Trevor Kirschner. And I believe it's going to air on Nickelodeon. Apparently, the filming for the movie just finished and so far a release date still hasn't been announced.

I love the show, it's about a slightly dysfunctional family of superheroes who end up getting into all types of wacky adventures trying to living a regular life while secretly being heroes. I'm sure the movie will probably continue with them being superheroes but I'm interested in seeing how these characters have grown and changed since the series ended. Did the parents Barb and Hank retire? Did Phoebe and Max go to college or just be superheroes full time? Are Billy and Nora in high school and Chloe in elementary or middle school? Also, is Dr. Colosso still causing trouble? I'm really interested in seeing this whenever it finally airs.

Lazy Sunday: Watching the Victorious Marathon

It's Lazy Sunday and I haven't done anything except watch the Victorious marathon on TeenNick. It's been a while since I've watched the show but I still love watching it. The show followed Victoria "Tori" Vega and her sister Trina and Tori's friends/classmates André Harris, Beck Oliver, Jade West, Robbie Shapiro and Cat Valentine as they always seem to find themselves in some of the most ridiculous situations either at their Hollywood Arts High School, their personal lives or while trying to pursue a career in acting and entertainment.

I feel like Victorious didn't get as much appreciation at the time because Glee (another awesome show) was on as well. I still love watching both shows because they were really good and funny and I also loved that they put a spotlight on the arts.

I noticed two things while watching this marathon and they are:

#1) Did Ariana Grande ever admit to getting plastic surgery? Because watching some of the episodes from the first two seasons you can see how different her face looks. I don't have anything against plastic surgery, it's your body you do whatever makes you feel good but I was just wondering if she's ever said anything about it since you can totally see how much her face has changed.

#2) When I recently started watching The Thundermans I thought there was something familiar about the family's house but I couldn't quite place it. That is until now, The Thundermans reused the set for Tori's house. The show altered a few things in the kitchen and living room but you can still tell it's the Vega house. 

Max Thunderman: From Potential Villain to Hero

I've been watching The Thundermans TV series, I can't help wondering why Max Thunderman's parents Barb and Hank didn't seem worried about their son's aspirations to be a villain. They seemed to think it was a phase he was going through before he became a hero. Meanwhile, he was hanging with villains such as Dark Mayheim and enacting various plans and schemes to further his goal in becoming the ultimate supervillain. That doesn't seem like a phase to me and he even called his bedroom (which is the basement), his evil lair.

When Max wasn't actively creating villainous things to do, he was being encouraged not only by Dark Mayheim but by his friend/pet Dr. Colosso, the so-called former villain who was turned into a rabbit, to continue to do bad things. Max wasn't all bad, during his "evil phase" he did show that he cared from time-to-time and would go against his villainous tendencies to do what was right (usually at the last minute). I like that he eventually became a hero like the rest of his family but before that he truly was headed towards a path of villainy.

Something else that I really like about Max is that he is extremely intelligent but he does poorly in school because he's really lazy and doesn't make any effort to focus on his education. However, outside of school, there is no end to his intellectual endeavors, he's a tech genius who creates a lot of interesting inventions which he continued to do once he chose to be a hero.

I still think Max's parents should have been more concerned about his interest in being a supervillain. However, he ultimately made the choice (with a little help from his twin sister Phoebe) to be good and surprisingly he's a really amazing at being a hero.

Fashion Meets Fandom: Phoebe Thunderman

I mentioned before that I recently started watching The Thundermans TV series and although I haven't seen every episode yet, I already love this show. It centers around a family of superheroes who are slightly dysfunctional but they do love and care about each other even though at times they have a funny way of showing it.

This is my new favorite show and I wish I had found it sooner because it really is fun to watch. Another fun thing about this show is Phoebe Thunderman's fantastic wardrobe. By the way, her mother Barb also has a cool wardrobe as well.

I would consider Phoebe's style to be bohemian with a lot of flowy tops and dresses in cool prints and patterns, cozy and stylish sweaters, skinny jeans in various colors, cool jackets, etc. Her look also includes a lot of accessories such as necklaces, bracelets, earrings, scarves, headbands, bags and more. As for shoes, she mostly wears flats, sandals and boots in a variety of styles.

Phoebe has such a fun and cool style that I decided to create an outfit inspired by her. I picked an off the shoulder flowy print top and paired it with skinny jeans. For accessories, I picked a cuffed bracelet set and a fringe crossbody bag.

Salem Saberhagen and Dr. Colosso: Former Villains and Wacky Fashion

I recently started watching the comedy series, The Thundermans, which is about a family of superheroes. It's a show that's new to me which ran for four seasons from 2013-2018 on the Nickelodeon channel. While I was watching the show, I couldn't help noticing that the character Dr. Arthur Colosso (or simply Dr. Colosso) reminds me of Salem Saberhagen from one of my favorite series, the supernatural comedy, Sabrina: The Teenage Witch.

Colosso was a villain who was turned into a bunny and lives with the heroes The Thundermans, while Salem was an evil witch turned into a cat who lives with the Spellman family. Both are talkative, selfish, sarcastic, conniving and scheming troublemakers who have surprisingly developed a bond with their respective do-gooder families. They also share a fondness for wearing clothes from classic and stylish suits to wacky and outrageous costumes, they have worn quite a few interesting looks.

I guess even though they were turned into animals they never lost their flair for the dramatics. From their evil cackles to their over the top fashions, Salem Saberhagen and Dr. Colosso brought humor, whimsy and zaniness to two wonderfully wacky TV series.
