Happy Friday! Here are a few of my fandom thoughts:
- I really want to know why 9-1-1 decided to bait Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz and Evan "Buck" Buckley (or Buddie) fans when the Showrunner and writers knew they were just going to put Buck with yet another random love interest? I still can't get over that. And that's what I found really irritating. Because they could have wrote this story for Buck without using Eddie as a plot device just to get Buck with his latest love interest. It's bad enough, Buck purposely injured Eddie in a childish jealous rage and didn't even apologize for injuring him. Eddie really deserved better than this storyline. And so do Buck and Eddie fans who have waited for years for them to get a chance to be together only for fans to be baited yet again.
As a Buddie fan, I'm not happy about it, it's just disappointing. And as a fan of all the other couples on the show, I would feel the same way about them. I would be just as disappointed waiting for years rooting for Maddie Buckley and Howard "Chimney" Han to get together but the Showrunner and writers kept putting them with random love interests instead of each other. The same goes for Athena Grant and Robert "Bobby" Nash and Henrietta "Hen" and Dr. Karen Wilson. Why do Buddie fans have to endure random love interest after random love interest while continuing to wait and see if Buck and Eddie will ever get a chance to go canon?
- I haven't rewatched Gilmore Girls or any episode from the show in a long time. I should really rewatch the pilot episode because I miss seeing Rory excited then hesitant about going to her new school, Chilton. While at the same time her mom, Lorelai had to ask her mother Emily for the money to pay for Rory's school. And of course it came with strings which included a deal that Lorelai and Rory had to go to dinner I believe once a week with Lorelai's parents' Emily and Richard Gilmore. Just writing about the pilot is making me want to rewatch it. Maybe I'll watch it and few more episodes this weekend.
- I've also been thinking of rewatching Young Sheldon and maybe even The Big Bang Theory. But I don't know when I'll be able to start such a big rewatch, maybe I'll start with Young Sheldon next week. With this being the final season of Young Sheldon, I've been wanting to watch the show from the beginning again.
