I remember when I researching colors some time ago, and I read about there being some shades or colors of pink that are considered childish. And remembering this, had me thinking back to the
9-1-1 episode
Survivors (season 4 episode 14). In that episode, there was a scene where
Taylor Kelly kissed Evan "Buck" Buckley and then she ran out of his apartment. Near the end of the episode, she returned to his apartment and said to him, "You didn't chase after me". All of this felt very childish. Because why was she playing games? If she was interested in Buck then why kiss him, run off and then expect him to run after her.
Anyway, during the kissing and running off scene, Taylor was wearing a light pink button up shirt over a black top and pants. The pink button up shirt was the perfect costume choice for the scene because it conveyed her childishness and immaturity in that moment. I love that when we're watching shows and movies that there is so much to telling a story. Which includes the costume designers having to find the right outfit for a scene. And this pink shirt goes perfect with Taylor's behavior and actions being childish.
