Most Memorable Scene: Ghostbusters Library Opening Scene

I love the opening scene from the first Ghostbusters movie because it was just a normal scene at the New York City Public Library. That is until the librarian, Alice goes downstairs to re-stock or re-shelve some books. Then it turns into a rather interesting and spooky scene. When the books floated across the aisle she didn't quite catch it. But she did catch something in the side of her eye because it caused to pause for a bit. However, she continued on.

I guess the the ghost was trying to get the librarian's attention with the floating books, however Alice didn't quite catch it. So, the ghost then escalated things by pulling out some of the drawers and tossing the index cards. The librarian couldn't help but notice that and started screaming and running which had the ghost going after her. Did the ghost not want anyone in downstairs? It's not as if the librarian was making a lot of noise. No, Alice was quiet and wasn't making any noise, so why terrorize her? I wonder how long the ghost had been haunting the building?

Something I really liked about this scene, is that viewers don't see the ghost until the soon to be Ghostbusters (Dr. Peter Venkman, Dr. Egon Spengler and Dr. Ray Stantz) see it. And once they did, they had absolutely no idea what to do with it. The ghost ended up scaring them out of the library.
