Video: Buck and Eddie and Chimney and Maddie: The Man Who Can't Be Moved (9-1-1 fan edit)

This is a really good fan edit by eli for Edmundo "Eddie" Diaz and Evan "Buck" Buckley and Maddie and Howard "Chimney" Han, it really highlights how both Chimney and Eddie fought for their respective Buckley sibling. Although, Buck and Eddie are not a canon couple they very much parallel Chimney and Maddie, a canon married couple. And not to mention both Maddie and her younger brother Buck had been abducted (in two separate storylines) and it's really interesting that both Chimney and Eddie were the ones who found them.

Side note, Maddie was actually abducted twice and during that first one, Buck helped Police Sergeant Athena Grant find her. I'm sure if Chimney hadn't been severely injured, he would have been with them helping to find her. But this was also the early stages of Maddie and Chimney getting together. Anyway, back to the later abductions, giving all the stress that Chimney and Eddie went through trying to find Maddie and Buck (and not to mention Eddie was dealing with multiple injuries) these two never gave up. I also found it interesting that Maddie and Buck knowing that Chimney and Eddie's lives were in danger from their abductors, they did what had to in order to get to them in hopes of saving them. And funny enough, all four of them went through a lot to save each other.

It's very interesting the love stories the 9-1-1 writers are crafting (or pretending not to craft in Eddie and Buck's case). It's also interesting that when all four of them were younger they grew up in household were they were either ignored by their parents (Maddie, Buck and Chimney) or were overly criticized (Eddie as well as Chimney) by them. However, when Maddie met Chimney and Eddie met Buck, all four of them were completely enamored by each other and gave each other their time and attention. They really are the most important people in each other's lives. I really hope that at some point the showrunner and writers will just let Buck and Eddie be canon because it makes no sense that they aren't together. Especially when they continue to parallel canon couples such as Chimney and Maddie who started as friends like Buck and Eddie currently are.
