In Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Today we celebrate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., it so sad the way this country continues to go backwards whenever there is any form of progress. Hatred is unfortunately thriving and there's an American Gestapo terrorizing people under the evil so-called leadership of this country. Not to mention this so-called leadership is also trying to terrorize other countries into doing what they want. Thankfully more countries are pushing back against them.

Dr. King's enduring message of fighting against hatred and seeking peace, justice and equality continues to live on. Despite the current times, people continue to push for change in making this country a better place. Diversity is wonderful and should never be seen as something bad. We have to continue to fight for our rights.

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. may his message never be forgotten.

In Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr

It's still so very moving and inspiring how Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. made a difference in the world. How despite the constant injustice he saw, he worked hard for change. His "I Have a Dream" speech feels like he had so much hope that one day the world would be a better place. The sad thing is the world is still in a constant cycle of hate, injustice, hardship, inequality and so many other manifestations of evil. But there also continues to be progress but at times it feels so slow. Especially with the constant push back.

I do hope that the world will be better because there are so many people doing so much good that the world can only get better. We just have to keep fighting for it.

In Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Today we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who taught us to fight for what is right, to be kind and know that change is possible against injustice. How will you be of service to others and not just today?

A productive and happy life is not something you find, it is something you make.

In Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr

Today is Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. birthday he is forever remembered for all that he did to fight for and inspire change in the world. At the time his message was not well recieved by those in power but that didn't stop Dr. King from dedicating his life to ending oppression. I honor Dr. King's life and legacy because he inspired the world to always look for the light and move forward with change.

I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality… I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word.

In Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Today we celebrate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and focus on his concern for inequality, injustice and so much more. May we always strive to follow the loving and courageous example he so eloquently set. I'm thankful for his courage and so many others who have fought for freedom and tried to change the world for the better.

"These are the times for real choices, not false ones. We are at the moment when our lives must be placed on the line if our nation is to survive its own folly. Every man of humane convictions must decide on the protest that best suits his convictions, but we all must protest."

In Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s message of fighting against hatred and seeking peace, justice and equality continues to live on. I honor Dr. King's legacy by continue to follow his message in hopes that one day the world will be a better place.

I've said this before that showing concern or caring for others does not make you weak, however, being an angry hateful racist, misogynist, homophobic, etc. person does in my opinion. Love doesn't make you weak but hatred does.

Today we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King and here are two of his quotes that I have taken to heart:

"If I can not do great things, I can do small things in a great way."

"What are you doing for others?"

I feel like the world or people will not change if no one speaks up or fight for it.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. sought to make a difference in the world and although he was murdered in pursuit of that. His legacy continues in all of the things that we do in trying to make this a better world.

I believe being kind and caring is not a weakness but being hateful and mean are.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Hate multiplies hate, violence multiples violence, and toughness multiplies toughness in a descending spiral of destruction...the chain reaction of evil--hate begetting hate, wars producing more wars--must be broken, or shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation." ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

When I think of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I see someone who looked at the world and saw the horrendous inequality and injustice and wanted to make a change. I give thanks to him and to all the civil rights leaders and activists who made and continue to make a difference.

Happy Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day!

In Memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

In his words:

- "I decided to stick with Love. Hate is too great a burden to bear."

- "Every man should decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness."

- "Whatever your life's work is, do it well. A man should do his job so well that the living, the dead, and the unborn could do it no better.”

- "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. ”

- "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?' "

- "The time is always right to do what is right."
