Throwback Thursday: The Train Chase (Maze Runner: The Death Cure)

It's been a while since I've watched any of The Maze Runner movies but I still remember the train chase scene from the third movie, The Death Cure. It is a really good scene. The Gladers and their friends had a plan to rescue their friend and fellow Glader Minho who was captured by WCKD at the end of the second movie, The Scorch Trials.

It was an exciting plan. Although they rescued a lot of people, the plan didn't quite work out how they intended in regards to Minho. Which required another plan that wasn't as thought out as this one but it did work.

The joys of being at home sick, yesterday I re-watched The Scorch Trials, I forgot how much I loved this movie. I liked The Maze Runner, as the first movie in the series it did a great job of introducing the characters but I enjoyed the second and third movies a little bit more. And that's more to do with the horror element that was added on.

The Death Cure "Cranks Tunnel" Clip

The Death Cure is finally out in theaters today. Now I just need to find time to go see it. I'm going to try to go this weekend which is generally when I have any free time to go to the movies. I'll post the trailer tomorrow like I always do for Weekend Films.

Anyway, here's an interesting clip with Thomas, Frypan and Newt trying to escape from zombies (cranks) while down in the tunnels.

The Death Cure: Poster #5: Newt

I have been trying to avoid spoilers for The Death Cure movie but a book fan inadvertently said something that's potentially spoiling about Newt if it follows the book. They didn't mean to, they thought I had read the books and started talking about what happened to him and how they wish it doesn't happen in the movie.

Spoiler or not it doesn't ruin my interest in seeing the movie.

Wow, this is a very tricky dilemma. Do you stay and get captured (most likely tortured and killed) or possibly die jumping out of a high rise window in order to escape?
