DVD Tuesday: Pacific Rim: Uprising

It's getting to the place where my weekends have become so busy that the only way I can see movies are when they're released on DVD.

Let's see people in giant robotic suits trying to stop rampaging creatures who are destroying everything in their path, that's pretty much a quick summary of Pacific Rim. Which was so unexpectedly good that I'm wondering how good this second movie will be. I'm going to make sure I pick this up sometime this week.

Weekend Films: Pacific Rim: Uprising and Sherlock Gnomes

I'm a total movie buff and I love going to the movies whenever I get the chance. And this weekend there are two interesting sequels I want to see: Pacific Rim: Uprising (a sci-fi action adventure) and Sherlock Gnomes (animated comedy mystery).

I'm happy to see that the character Mako Mori is going to be in the Pacific Rim sequel. She was one of my favorite characters in the first movie. Sherlock Gnomes looks like it's going to be a funny movie, I do wonder who is stealing all the gnomes.

I was really hoping Mako Mori (played by actress Rinko Kikuchi) would be the lead in the Pacific Rim sequel. So far, it doesn't even look like she will even appear in the movie.

Weekend Plans: Hopefully Going to the movies to see Pacific Rim

I'm going to try to see Pacific Rim this weekend and if I do, I will post a review (if my internet isn't acting too wonky).

I think the trailer looks great. It reminds me of those anime cartoons, I wonder if it's based on any one in particular.
