DVD Tuesday: Scooby-Doo! The Sword and The Scoob

I don't know how Mystery Inc. somehow keep getting themselves in some of the most zaniest mysteries. I really want to see The Sword and The Scoob, it seems like it's going to be a fun movie with the gang going back in time and hopefully saving the day.

Surprisingly, there are quite a few Scooby movies that have the gang dealing with real supernatural things instead of unmasking villains wearing masks. Whether they're facing something real or dealing with fake villains, I love watching Scooby-Doo movies.

Okay my fellow Scooby fans, who else picking this up today or ordering it online?

Scooby-Doo! The Sword and The Scoob

This original movie serves up laughter on a platter, and Scooby and Shaggy are ready to dig in!

DVD Tuesday: Dora and the Lost City of Gold

It's DVD Tuesday, what's everyone picking up?

I want to get Dora and the Lost City of Gold, I remember when the trailer was first released, there were a lot of complaints about Dora not being a little kid. But isn't it okay for characters to grow, this looks like it's fun movie and from looking at the trailer it still has the feel of the Dora the Explorer animated series but with more action.

Dora and the Lost City of Gold

Accompanied by a ragtag group of teens and Boots the monkey, Dora embarks on a quest to save her parents while trying to solve the seemingly impossible mystery behind a lost Incan civilization.

DVD Tuesday: Hobbs & Shaw, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and The Kitchen

It's DVD Tuesday, what movies or TV shows are you getting? I want to get these three: Hobbs & Shaw, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and The Kitchen.

Hobbs & Shaw looks insane but I want to see it. I'm still not sure why Jason Shaw gets to be a hero in especially since did a lot of terrible things including killing Han. Maybe this will be addressed in the movie. As for Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, I love scary movies and I really want to see it. I didn't realize it was based on books by Alvin Schwartz. However, I did know The Kitchen was based on a DC Comics (Vertigo Comics) comic book miniseries which I haven't read but I want to.

Anyway, these are the movies I want to get.

Hobbs & Shaw

Description:

DVD Tuesday: Veronica Mars Season 1 and Wonder Woman: Bloodlines

It's DVD Tuesday, what are you getting? I want to get the first season of Veronica Mars and the Wonder Woman: Bloodlines animated movie.

Sometimes I feel like Veronica Mars causes as much trouble as she does solving problems but that's what makes her an interesting character. When the Veronica Mars revival premiered on Hulu in July, I didn't get around to watching it. Even though I have Hulu, I still want to get the DVD to watch the show.

Wonder Woman was always popular but I think the 2017 movie helped boost her popularity even more especially to new fans. I want to see Bloodlines because it has a different take on Wonder Woman's origin story and it should be interesting to watch.

Veronica Mars Season 1

DVD Tuesday: Crawl and Teen Titans Go! vs Teen Titans

It's DVD Tuesday, what new releases are you getting?

I want to get Crawl, an action movie that has a woman trying to rescue her father while also trying to survive not only a hurricane but a large number of alligators. I also want to get Teen Titan Go! vs Teen Titans, where both sets of Titans team up to save the day.

I'm a big action movie fan, it doesn't matter if it's animated or live-action, as long as it has an interesting story, I'll watch it. I love that Crawl stars former Maze Runner movie actors Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper and the Titans movie features the original voice actors from the Teen Titans/Teen Titans Go! animated series.

Crawl

In the wake of a significant hurricane, a young woman (Kaya Scodelario) must embark on a quest to rescue her imperiled father (Barry Pepper). However, she finds herself unable to escape a house that rapidly floods and must contend with a horde of alligators.

DVD Tuesday: Justice League vs The Fatal Five

It's hard to believe that it's been 13 years since the last episode of the Justice League Unlimited animated series aired. Which is why I'm so excited to see Justice League vs The Fatal Five. For anyone who doesn't know, Kevin Conroy, Susan Eisenberg and George Newbern reprise their roles as the voices for Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman.

I hope this movie does really well because maybe more DCAU (DC Comics Animated Universe) movies will be made.

DVD Tuesday: Bumblebee and Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase

How come after the first Transformers movie, the sequels kept getting worse and worse? Now the second movie Revenge of the Fallen wasn't that bad, it could have been better. But it was certainly amazing compared to the 3rd (Dark of the Moon), 4th (Age of Extinction) and 5th (The Last Knight) movies which were absolutely terrible. I didn't see Bumblebee when it was in theatres but I heard from a lot of Transformers fans that this 6th movie was good. So, I will definitely be picking this up sometime today.

As a big Nancy Drew fan, I'm a little on the fence about Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase. Yeah, I want to see it but from the trailer and the description, it seems like they made a lot of changes to the story and characters. It seems so weird to see Nancy riding a skateboard especially since she's not a skater punk. But I'm going to give this movie a chance and see if it's better than the trailer.

So what new movies are you picking up this week?

DVD Tuesday: Aquaman

I remember when Aquaman was thought of as a joke and it seemed like only a few of us were fans of the character. What's not to like about Aquaman? He's a hero that protects the oceans and seas from villains and polluters while helping those in need.

One of the good things that came out of DC Comics' terrible New 52 reboot was Aquaman getting the star treatment that the character deserved. New fans were finally seeing what us old fans saw, a really cool character. Although, Aquaman has always been a great character, I do commend the New 52 with making the character popular to more fans.

And that surge of popularity really helped in getting Aquaman to big screen, from the Justice League movie to his solo movie, it's a great time to be an Aquaman fan.

Aquaman

Description:

Arthur Curry learns that he is the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and must step forward to lead his people and be a hero to the world.

DVD Tuesday: Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse

Wow, I didn't realize Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse had won so many awards including an Oscar. I think that's fantastic! It's so cool to see an animated movie being appreciated like this. If you're a Spider-Man fan and haven't seen this movie, please see it. Even if you're not a Spider-Man fan, you should see this movie because it's has a good story and it's fun and colorful.

So, see this movie, if you haven't.

DVD Tuesday: Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

I love the first Fantastic Beasts movie, Newt Scamander is by far my favorite character, he's adorably quirky and has a good heart and not to mention his love of unique creatures. I didn't get a chance to see this second movie while it was in theatres but the trailer looks good and it has Albus Dumbledore and Hogwarts in it.

Sometime today I'm going to the store to get this movie because I can't wait to see it.

DVD Tuesday: Disney The Nutcracker and the Four Realms and Reign of the Supermen

It's DVD Tuesday and I have two movies I want to get: Disney The Nutcracker and the Four Realms and Reign of the Supermen.

The only reason I didn't see The Nutcracker and the Four Realms in theaters is because it was released on November 2nd and for me that's way too early to start thinking about Christmas. Too bad Disney didn't get a later release date like sometime in December because for me I'm more in the Christmas spirit after Thanksgiving. Anyway, I can't wait to see this.

As for my second pick, Reign of the Supermen it's the sequel to The Death of Superman animated movie and it's finally out today. Fans had to wait nearly six months for the sequel which makes me wonder why didn't Warner Bros. release both parts of the movie last year? Well, I guess it doesn't matter, I'm still going to get this.

So what movies or TV shows are you thinking of getting for DVD Tuesday?

DVD Tuesday: Goosebumps 2 and Once Upon a Deadpool

There are two movies I want to get this week: Goosebumps 2 and Once Upon a Deadpool.

I didn't see Goosebumps 2 when it was in theatres but I do want to see it. I really liked the first movie and this one looks like it will be fun too. As for Deadpool 2, I know this is pretty much a cash grab with a second PG-13 version being released but I still want to see it. And that's mainly because I want to see what new scenes besides the ones with Fred Savage were added to Once Upon a Deadpool.

DVD Tuesday: Sharp Objects Miniseries

I didn't watch the Sharp Objects miniseries which is based on the book by Gillian Flynn because I didn't read the book. I recently bought the book and I'm planning on getting this so I can watch it as soon as I read the book. I heard a lot of good things about this miniseries from Amy Adams' riveting performance as Camille Preaker to the heartbreaking complexities of story.

I may have to move Sharp Objects up on my To Read List because I really want to see this plus I want to see what changes were made in the adaptation.

So who else is getting the Sharp Objects miniseries?

DVD Tuesday: Crazy Rich Asians and The Domestics

I try to go to the threatre whenever there's a movie I want to see but that's not always possible. Which is why I also love when movies are released on DVD so I can enjoy watching them at home while I'm cozy on the sofa.

Which brings me to today's DVD Tuesday, after I had read Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan I was too busy to make it to the theatre to see the movie. And since then I have been waiting to see it. I also want to see The Domestics, it's an the independent film that was first available digitally back in late June but I decided to wait for the DVD to see it.

So, what are you picking up for DVD Tuesday?

It soon becomes clear that the only thing crazier than love is family, in this funny and romantic story sure to ring true for audiences everywhere.

DVD Tuesday: The Meg

A prehistoric shark on the attack, how can I not want to see this. I'm sure humans probably did something to bring this huge shark to the surface and then will have to figure out a way to stop it. I didn't get a chance to see The Meg when it was in theatres which is why I want to get it.

Teen Titans is such a fun movie I can't recommend it enough and if you haven't seen it yet please do. I don't think you will be disappointed. As for The Spy Who Dumped Me, I didn't see it when it was in theatres but it looks like it's a fun action comedy. It looks like Wasp has a bigger role in this one that will be interesting to see.

DVD Tuesday: Hotel Transylvania 3

What's October (or the 31 days of Halloween) without a few monsters? I love monster families they are so happy being themselves along with being supportive of each other especially when society deem them to be "monsters". Some of my favorite monster families are: The Addams Family, The Munsters, The Halliwells (Charmed) etc. and after watching the first Hotel Transylvania movie I immediately added Dracula's family to the list.

I didn't see Hotel Transylvania 3 when it was in theaters because at the time I had not seen the first two movies. But sense then I have and now I have to see this one because I want to know if Dracula figures out that Ericka is a monster hunter.

Hotel Transylvania 3
