Fandom Friday: Random Fandom Thoughts #54: 9-1-1 Social Media, May Grant and The Doomies

Happy Friday, here are a few Fandom Thoughts that have been on my mind:

- I'm not liking the promotional direction that 9-1-1 social media is doing with promoting the show. Because for some reason they only seem to think that Evan "Buck" Buckley is the only character on the show and his storyline of getting a kid is the only one that matters. It's not a good look that only one character and his storyline is getting all the attention. With the way the promotion is going you would think it's The Buck Show and not the supposed ensembled show 9-1-1. Why are the other characters being sidelined on the social media accounts? I guess they are just following the direction or cues that the Showrunner and writers take with Buck getting so much screen time while sidelining the other characters and their stories.

Hiatus Watch: The Doomies

There are a lot interesting new shows being released during this hiatus. And another one I just found is The Doomies. Looking at the trailer, I'm just wondering why did these two, Bobby And Romy (or perhaps just Bobby) open up a gateway or portal to another world? Maybe they didn't think it would happen but somehow it did. And now there's monsters on the loose. I wonder if it's just a Monster of the Week series or if there's a big connecting story that they have to solve by the end of the season? Or maybe it's a little bit of both? Either way, this seems like a fun little show. It kind of has that Gravity Falls meets Scooby-Doo! Mystery Inc. feel to it and maybe with a touch of Stranger Things.
