Book Review for the A-Z Title Challenge: Judge Dredd: Anderson Psi Division vol #1

Book: Judge Dredd: Anderson Psi - Division (issues #1-4) by Matt Smith with illustrations by Carl Critchlow

Source: Borrowed from Publisher/NetGalley for an honest review

Publication: March 3, 2015

Description:

In an all-new adventure from Cassandra Anderson's early days in the Mega-City One Psi-Division, writer Matt Smith and artist Carl Critchlow present "King of the Six Sectors." It all starts with Anderson awaking from an unusually strong vision of an attack on the Megapolitan Museum showcasing Cursed Earth artifacts.

Review:

Judge Dredd: Anderson Psi - Division was okay but mostly tedious and long-winded. This is a very wordy story with some pages appearing crowded by a lot of voice or speech bubbles and thought boxes taking over quite a few panels and pages. It wouldn't be a problem if the story was half way interesting. Slow moving and very boring is what this story is.

The story follows Psi-Judge Cassandra Anderson as she attempts to track down thieves who stole a map from a museum. She tries to track them down in the swampland with a fellow Judge but came up empty but were able to send in help for a kid who needed help.

She goes after various criminals and crime bosses to see if they can lead her to the thieves or what the thieves are after.

I was very bored reading this and found the artwork to be the best part of it. This just wasn't for me.
