Sunday Summary: May 25th

I envy anyone who has a laptop computer right about now. Because instead of sitting outside enjoying a wonderful day, I had to walk inside to sit down at the computer to write up my post. I would love to be sitting outside enjoying the sun and cool breeze of the wind as I type.

But as soon as I'm finished with my posts I will be going back out to relax.

Earlier today, I went to the thrift store (the one that has the wall of books) and found a good variety of books (I'll post them next). I also stopped by Target and picked up a few things including a book (which I will post in a moment).

While I was searching the shelves, it made me think of something that my mother said to me: "Read as many different types of books as you can". It's similar to a phrase one of my English teachers used to say: "Don't limit yourself in what you read".  I guess that's why I have always read so many different types of books. I don't want to get stuck in a reading rut and only read certain types of books. I like to mix it up.

Well, speaking of books and reading, I am not enjoying "The Catcher in the Rye". I might be calling it quits because I'm just not connecting with the story. So far I've read nearly 60+ pages and I think that might have been way too many. I will see how I feel about it tomorrow.

I'm going to finish up my writing then back to enjoying the outdoors.

Bye for now
