Review:

Reading this was like watching an episode of the Rocky & Bullwinkle classic cartoon series. It was funny and everything was perfectly done from the artwork to the narrator to the characters' personalities.

I think this would be great for readers of all ages and would have a good nostalgic kick for older readers.

This first volume features four stories that were in two parts and also included were four Dudley Do-Right stories.

Story #1 "The Psychic Sidekick"

In the first story, Boris and Natasha were up no good by trying to swindle Mr. Louis F. Lucre, a rich man out of his money. Mr. Lucre is also the same man that Rocky and Bullwinkle had a meeting with, he was supposed to be donating money for a park but has changed his mind due to Boris. Mr. Lucre was looking for a psychic to help him and Boris took advantage of the man's desperation. Leaving it up Rocky and Bullwinkle to foil their plan.

Story #2 "The Washed-Up Wizard"

This story had Rocky and Bullwinkle trying to help a down on his luck magician while Boris and Natasha were scheming to use the magician to unwittingly help them crack a safe.

Story #3 "First Mouse on the Moon"

Rocky and Bullwinkle were attempting to put a stop to a moon extortion plan that the spy organization that Boris and Natasha work for were working on. They were trying to charge people money for anything that's moon related even people sitting around moon watching.

Story #4 "The Burger Monster"

In the last story, Boris and Natasha were trying to destroy both the American economy and ruin the citizens through their delicious and addictive burgers. But unfortunately for them Rocky and Bullwinkle were cooking up a plan to stop them (sorry, couldn't resist the pun).

Now for the four Dudley Do-Right stories:

Story #1 "The Smell Test"

The evil Snidely Whiplash came up with a plan to keep that witless constable Dudley Do-Right out of his hair so he could go on a crime spree. But it may not work out the way he intended to.

Story #2 "The Right Man"

Dudley can't seem to bring in the right criminal and constantly arrest the wrong person but a plan by Snidely Whiplash may have finally worked out in Dudley's favor.

Story #3 "Buyer Be Wary"

Snidely Whiplash has opened up a crooked business that sells worthless products and even though he offers a money back guarantee he's not worried. Because he knows that even if his customers are upset or disappointed it's too much effort them to bother trying to return it. That is until he sold something to Dudley Do-Right.

Story #4 "Moving Experience"

Crime is down in the area and with lower crime rates that means there's no need for Dudley Do-Right. He was going to be sent to another police force which is good news for the chief but not for his daughter Nell. Not wanting Dudley (or should I say his horse) to leave she devices a plan to get Dudley to stay by intentionally inspiring the currently imprisoned Snidely Whiplash with a plan.

If you are a fan of Rocky and Bullwinkle I don't think you would be disappointed giving this a read. I enjoyed it and thought it was very funny.
