Found Online: Another Terrible Interview with Wonder Woman Writer Meredith Finch

I recently read a very disappointing The Mary Sue interview with Wonder Woman writer Meredith Finch. I have to agree with many of the commenters, the interviewer Maddy Myers handled Finch with kid gloves. She didn't ask any hard hitting questions. One of the commenters

And Meredith Finch did not deserve the kid gloves. In fact, I would say that as a woman who is writing Wonder Woman, THE female superhero who above all other embodies the principles of female empowerment, Meredith Finch should get the blunt treatment and be held up to the heights of Perez and Rucka. Treating her with hugs and kittens when she is doing an awful job sends a rather terrible message here- that, as a female creator, she can't take the heat.

Since Finch took over the writing for Wonder Woman beginning with issue #36, the run has been receiving an overwhelmingly number of bad reviews and it doesn't look like the tide will change any time soon not with the current take on Wonder Woman and the Amazons. Readers are upset with Finch's mishandling of Donna Troy among other things.

Meredith is too new of a writer to have taken over the writing for Wonder Woman. There is absolutely no way DC Comics would have let a new writer take over for Batman. They have invested too much into keeping Batman at the top to risk it with a new writer. But since Wonder Woman doesn't seem to be held in the same regards this unfortunately is what readers of Wonder Woman get, which is unbelievably disappointing.

The Mary Sue lost their journalistic integrity with this interview. I actually lost respect for them for publishing this. Well that's not exactly true, I think my respect for this site started to drop when they wrote the review which was titled "Haters Gonna Hate, but Jem and the Holograms Is Not a Bad Movie". Well, I guess that was the writer Carolyn Cox's opinion but the movie was apparently so bad it was pulled from theaters two weeks after being released. Lately, to me this site seems to be dropping in quality.
