Review:

The Adventures of Luna the Vampire volume #1 is a collection of funny little stories that focus on a generally bored and grumpy vampire named Luna. She along with other monsters live out in space. The book feature stories with Luna getting a new pet, becoming a bit obsessed with losing weight, hanging out with her friend Helga (a witch), scoring the ultimate find at a Comic Con, trying to escape from a children's party and more.

I love the artwork (see below) it's very colorful and drawn in a wacky cartoony way. Although, I can see the artwork appealing to children but I don't think it's actually for them. Some of the story content may not be quite appropriate for them such as in one story Luna was influenced by the media (and Helga) to lose weight. I like Luna, she's definitely grumpy and perhaps a little anti-social. Meanwhile, I found Helga to be okay, she's a bit flighty and inconsiderate at times. I think Kir is adorable, he has a crush on Luna which I don't think she realizes.

This was a fun if not zany read, I like finding something different. There was one thing I found to be a slight issue. It was that some of the words, which were in cursive, can be a little hard to read in a few places.
