Sunday Summary: August 14th

I haven't wrote a Sunday Summary post in a while, but I decided to post one today. This morning, I had been thinking about how much I would love to get into the publishing industry. But then I realized in a way I already am. As a Book Blogger, I read and review books as well as I write about ones I find interesting. I think the beauty of being a Book Blogger is we can read whatever we want and not have to worry about writing the "perfect" review. You review books in whatever way that works best for you.

However, there is one thing I do consider important about my reviews and that is being honest. It's a rule I stand by. I try never to let anything influence my opinion of what I read. It doesn't matter if the author is my favorite or I received an advanced copy, I never let that affect me.

Take for instance, J.K. Rowling is one of my favorite authors but I still didn't enjoy reading Career of Evil (her third Cormoran Strike book). That book was so boring I couldn't even finish it.

So what else is on my mind, um, lets see. Yesterday, when I went to the comic bookstore I spotted a new action figure that I had been planning on buying. I did of course buy it and I can't wait to show it to you. I will post the pictures soon for a Toy Corner post. And speaking of Toy Corner, I have some posts that I have been working on. I found some really cool and interesting new toys that will be out soon. One of them I know I have to get.

I also stopped by the bookstore yesterday, I found yet another Ghostbusters novelization (I'll post it today). However, where the other one was for middle grade readers, this new one is more for young adults and older readers. I'm still going to read and review both versions.

I have a few reviews coming up this week which will include The Reflections of Queen Snow White along with a few others.

Well, that's about it for now, and once I can get my cat out of my favorite reading chair I can go back to reading Warren the 13th and The All-Seeing Eye by Tania Del Rio with illustrations by Will Staehle. I didn't post it in a Currently Reading post because it's a book I will have finished in a few hours.

Bye for now,

Book Girl
