Toy Corner: Barbie 50th Anniversary Star Trek Lieutenant Uhura Doll

Happy 50th Anniversary, Star Trek! The first episode premiered September 8, 1966. The fact that this show has stayed popular since then is absolutely astounding. And to think  it went on to launch a very successful franchise.

For this Toy Corner post, I wanted to post my Barbie Star Trek Lieutenant Uhura doll that I received as a birthday gift. For anyone who's interested, the Lieutenant Uhura is still available to purchase as well as Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock from The Barbie Collection store.

I think they did a really good job with the molding because she very much resembles actress Nichelle Nichols.
